The Start

I planned to take off on July 6th, but I didn’t finish all my work yet, so it has been delayed by a few days. The new day is July 8th. I have figured out that I will head to Memphis, and start the Trans American Trail just a little south of there. I will head towards Colorado with the next major stop in Fort Collins.

Its a 2 month solo motorcycle ride that will encompass parts of the Trans-American Trail (TAT), almost no freeways and toll roads, as much off road as I can find along the way, with hopefully tons of camping, minimal hotel/motel stays, stops at friends and relatives along the way, and unknown adventures. I think an insane amount of National Parks and Forests will be visited and hiked as well.

Where will the Ride be?
Not much planning has gone into it, and probably not much will, but the general idea is that I will be leaving Cleveland, OH, heading to:
Ft. Collins, Colorado
Wyoming
Billings, Montana
Idaho
Calgary, Canada
Vancouver, Canada
Seattle, Washington
Portland, Oregon
down the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego
then “the who knows where part of the trip”: maybe to
Phoenix, Albuquerque, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, New Orleans, and more…
The more part is all unknown and based on how tired or worn out I might be.
