My name is Geza Kassai. I like to travel and see the world. In between trips, I work, alot. I work as an Art Director in film and television. Prior to that I was an architectural designer, and also a graphic designer in my own firm. I specialize in 3d modeling and animation. My company is Graphixx Design, Inc. Enough about work.
I’m Hungarian, born in Italy, and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. My girlfriend Luci and I have a passion for travel, food, and good drink. That is our reason for traveling, well that and February in Cleveland. But that’s another story. Motorcycles are my passion, ever since I asked for a bike when I was eleven and within 2 weeks my dad brought me home a brand new 50cc Puch dirtbike. Since then I have ridden countless types of bikes, and pursued my dream of road racing for a while.
During a trip to Sedona, I mentioned to Luci that I still wanted to do a motorcycle trip across the country and her reply was one of the best things I could have expected, “you should do it sooner than later, and you better buy a different bike to do it on.” That was it! I didn’t know what bike to get, as I really love my Ninja ZX11 and haven’t even considered another bike til that day. I bought it new 17 years ago and will probably never get rid of it. My mom even lent me the down payment for it before my first paycheck out of architecture school. Not many people can say their parents supported their motorcycle habit. So after talking to a few friends, I knew it had to be an adventure bike. I looked at a bunch and fell in love with a triple black BMW R1200GS. I saw it at a dealer in Cleveland but they screwed up the sale, so I found one in New Hampshire, flew to Boston, got picked up by the dealer and within 30 mins of getting there, was on my first long road trip on a bike. I took 2.5 days meandering home through back roads, it’s only a 10 hour drive on the freeway, but what fun is that? That was the beginning of May 2014. At the end of July and the first week of August 2014, I rode from Cleveland to Nova Scotia to Quebec city and back, in 2 weeks as a trial run for this trip. In February 2015, we were in Hawaii and we rented a Harley which may have helped save my sanity.
